I created this puzzle for an assignment for my mechanical engineering class, in which we were instructed to create any sort of puzzle.
I made this six-layer puzzle depicting "Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh, with each layer representing a different element of the background all the way up to the foreground.
I first traced out what I wanted to break into the different layers in Rhino. Next, I mirrored and laser-cut these pieces. Finally, I painted the backs of these peices and assembled the puzzle, with a gold frame that I had painted and laser cut.
